Jozef Ftorek, M.A.

He studied journalism and mass communication at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague and New York University (NYU) in the USA, where in 1998 he was awarded the Master of Arts in Media Ecology (M.A.). From 1998 to 1999 he worked as an editor of the foreign news service of TV NOVA, later he was an external editor and reporter for the Czech Television (2000 – 2003). He gained valuable experience working as a spokesperson (CK FISCHER) and as an account manager in the public relations agency Ogilvy. He went through a training course of SMARTER Training & Consulting, where he worked as a trainer and consultant. In his work for the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, as a marketing specialist and head of the Department of Press and Information Funds AVIS, he participated in the communication and recruitment campaign of the Army of the Czech Republic at the time of its professionalization.

He has been lecturing at the College of International and Public Relations in Prague since 2006.
