doc. Ing. Jindřich Ploch, CSc.

Mr. doc. Ing. Jindřich Ploch, CSc. is the Rector Emeritus of the College of International and Public Relations in Prague and is the Rector Emeritus of the University of Business in Prague. He is currently also an evaluator of the National Accreditation Office. He has been working in the academic sphere for more than two decades.

He is a major expert in the field of international air transport. Among other things, he represented the Czech Republic as a member of the EASA Management Board of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) when he was the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority. At the University of Business in Prague, he worked at the Department of Air Transport as a guarantor of study programs in the field of air transport services in tourism (bachelor's program in Air Transport Services and master's program in Airline Management). In the field of international air transport and its regulation, current creative and publishing activities are presented.

He is currently also active at the Department of Air Transport, Faculty of Transport, CTU Prague. His professional contribution to the quality transformation of the Czech civil aviation after the Czech Republic's accession to the EU is crucial.

In the period between 2003 and 2007, he worked as the General Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic. During this period, he represented the Czech Republic on the Management Board of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Cologne for more than 4 years on the basis of a mandate from the Minister of Transport.

He worked in the aviation industry for a long time. Until 2012, he held the position of director of the Prague aviation company LOM Prague, which deals mainly with ensuring the life cycle of helicopters and training aviation personnel. For six years he also managed the aeronautical research institute in Prague-Kbely. This institute is focused on a comprehensive solution of research and development of operation, logistics and training of aircraft technology.

Mr. Ploch works in many bodies and institutions, mainly as a member of the Czech Rectors' Conference (since 2014), member of the Strategic Council of the Ministry of Regional Development, President of the Alliance of Unmanned Industry of the Czech Republic (2015-2017), President of the Association of the Defense and Security Industry Czech Republic in NIAG (Nato Industrial Advisory Group) (1998 - 2001), member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Aviation of the Technical University in Košice, member of the Academic Council of the University of Prague (2013 - 2018), member of the JAA Committee (European Aviation Authorities) 2007), member of the EASA Management Board (EASA - European Aviation Safety Agency) for the Czech Republic (2003-2007), national coordinator of the NATO RTO (Research and Technology Organization) for the Czech Republic (1998-2001), member of the Scientific Board of the University of Defense in Brno ( 2001-2004), member of the CND NATO (Conference National Armaments Directors) for the Czech Republic (2001-2003). He has been the rector of the Academy of Performing Arts since 12/2019. He is also the guarantor of the study program Operation of Air Transport.
