In 2002 he studied political science and German language and literature at the PU in Prešov. In 2006, he completed a master's degree in political science at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena, completed his doctoral studies in political science at the FMV VŠE in Prague in 2010 and received his habilitation in political science in 2016 at the UPJŠ Faculty of Arts in Košice. He has received various scholarships, Fr. i. International Parliamentary Fellowship at the German Bundestag (2003), the University of Vienna (2011) and the Herder Institute in Marburg (2012). Since 2012 he has been working at the Faculty of Applied Languages of the University of Economics in Bratislava at the Department of Intercultural Communication.
