JUDr. Ing. Anna Durfina, PhD. and PhD. works as the director of the Educational and Consulting Institute Bratislava, College of International and Public Relations Prague, o.p.s. During his 15 years in the academic sphere, he has been engaged in both pedagogical and scientific research activities, as well as leading internal and external research projects. She worked as a researcher at the Pan-European University for 6 years. He conducts final theses at the bachelor's and master's degree level.
Pedagogical activities focus on the subjects National and International Security, Issues of War and Peace, Terrorism as a Security Threat and Methodology of Science. The research focuses on national and international security, organized crime and asymmetry in conflict. Author of scientific studies, professional and teaching texts in the field of national and international security, asymmetry in conflict, threats of organized crime and the Copenhagen School of Security.
In 2017, she acted as an external advisor to the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic in the field of science, research and innovation. Since 2017, she has worked as a methodologist / analyst at the Agency for the Support of Science and Research and as the Secretary of the Presidency of the APVV SR, where she subsequently held the position of Head of the International Cooperation and State Aid Department. From 2019 to 2020, she worked as an internal advisor to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic in the area of security risk assessment and analysis. From 2017 to 2021, she held the position of a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Žilina in Žilina.
Investigator of several national and international projects (VEGA, KEGA, APVV, Norwegian Funds, Government Council for Crime Prevention of the Slovak Republic, Slovak Aid) focusing on organized crime and security. He works as an opponent of the Slovak national projects VEGA and KEGA. Co-organizer and member of the scientific committees of national and international conferences and professional colloquia. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Scientific Journal Journal of New Zealand-Pacific Studies, indexed in the SCOPUS and ERIH databases.
